Led by panels of local experts, “Room-by-Room” will focus on the numerous health benefits associated with green building. Specifically, it will cover topics such as indoor air quality, lead poisoning prevention, asthma and allergy control, and non-toxic household cleaning. In so doing, the workshops will identify solutions to common health hazards found in particular household areas. Hosted by Greenovate and Environment Ohio, "Wasting Less to Save More" will feature a panel discussion led by local business leaders and public officials who are actively promoting energy efficiency. To kick off the panel, Environment Ohio will release its new report, Ohio’s Green Energy Economy: the Energy Efficiency Industry.
Congresswoman Mary Jo Kilroy (OH-15) will deliver the keynote address, and Matt Bierlein, LEED AP, of Luper Neidenthal & Logan will moderate the panel discussion.
The following community leaders will comprise the panel: Erin Miller, City of Columbus; Matt Canterbury, LEED AP, M+A Architects; Tom Andrews, Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC); and Eric Zimmer, Tipping Point Renewable Energy.
